I want to thank Mel at Calvary United
Methodist Church for the free advertising. I took this picture in March. I
happened to be driving by and saw this sign. Then I had to go back with my
camera. Thanks again!

Charles Giebler - Florence, Colorado
I grew born and raised in the area, graduated from Northwestern in 1978, I
left the area in 1980, I own and operate the Charles Anthony Funeral Home
in Florence Colorado, also Mainstreet Grille, and Bakery, and Smashing
Good Guitars, I serve as the president of our local Chamber of Commerce,
and have a position on City Council. I work hard, and have
accomplished a bit. But NOTHING has ever been as good as our weekly trips
to Cherry Hill Drive Inn. I brag about your establishment every
chance I get. It's the most awesome "MEMORIES OF HOME".
Thank You!!!!

Wayne Hanft - Jacksonville, Fl.
When we were kids we would ride bikes from Albion to West Springfield in
the summertime and stop at cherry hill for a cone.
|
Sheila Hillard - Albion, Pa
When I was a teen I rode my horse there and hitched her to the hitching
post that used to be out back. My cousin and I would get fries and
icecream. Once, my horse ate my fries when I wasn't looking, so I had to
order more. I worked there when I turned 18.

Linda Hollister Chromik - Northeast, Pa.
This is really nice! My Mom and Dad (Lloyd & Gladys Hollister)
were the first owners of the Cherry Hill Drive In. I worked there in
the mid-60s and have wonderful memories of the special customers that
would come from all over - many Ohio residents would take the drive on
Sundays to get Dad's extra-thick milkshakes and meals. Mom and Dad
would both be proud to see what the present owners have done to the place
and to see that it has gone on-line for advertising now. I gotta
tell you, I miss Dad's Pizza Burgers. Anyone else remember them?
Take care, Linda
Edythe Furmage - Ashtabula, Oh.
I never feel as great as I do when I am
at Cherry Hill. When I was young we lived in Kellogsville and My
grampa and gramma would take the grandkids to Cherry Hill once and awhile.
My favorite memory of all time was when my grampa took me to the LeAnn
Rimes concert and we got to stop for ice-cream on the way there, and on
the way back! I am now 22 years old and whenever I get the chance to
take anyone there, I do. Anyone who enjoys it there feels the same
way I do....No matter what mood you are in, when you get the corner, you
cant help but smile and have fun. Thanks Kurt and Cherry Hill staff
for making that corner such a wonderful summer stop!!!

Charlene Taylor - Seguin, Tx.
I grew up west of Cherry Hill on Ackery
Rd. I am the youngest Daughter of Norman and Josephine Taylor. I graduated
from Northwestern H.S. in 1966. Cherry Hill Drive In was
always a special place to go for a Treat of Ice Cream. Thanks for a chance
to Remember the past.

Garry R. Knapp - Henderson, Nv.
I was raised in Cherry Hill back in the 40's. My parents were Eugene &
Thelma Knapp. The farm at the top of the hill west of 6n. The third home
on the right. Your place was a small grocery and gas station. Mom managed
it at one time. My fondest memories were the people who lived there and of
course the picnic grounds and dance hall.

Kurt Geer - Owner
My special memory from 2007 was when
a gentleman ( I may not remember your name but If you are a regular I try
to remember what you order ) from Conneaut, Oh. had a heart attack (
that's not the special part ). I waited on the gentleman and went back
into the office and some other customers started hollering for me to call
911. I did , they came and he went. We didn't hear anything about
him, about a month later he came back and bought one of our tee shirts
that have our logo and Food and Ice Cream to Die for. He just cracked up
when he saw them and had to have one. His wife said the day he had the
heart attack his tee-shirt said Dead Men's Chest on it and the
EMT drivers
saved the emblem on it after they cut the tee shirt off and gave it to her.

I grew up on Cherry Hill Rd. It was
always a treat to walk all the way up there and get ice cream and
the pizza burgers were the best, still wonder where I can get those pizza
burgers when the Hollister's owned the stand! Yes, Linda, I remember
them:) I still visit when I am home in the summer:):):)
